Rimcolian, who passed out as Cadet Captain in 1976 with President’s gold medal and subsequently joined NDA. He got commissioned in 90 Field Arty and later switched to the Intelligence Corps. He started his career from Barakpore and then he went on deputation to 23 Assam Rifles. He was awarded with COAS Commendation Card while serving in OP RAKSHAK - J&K. Jha was an ardent poem writer, very fond of music and used to play tabla/bongo. He was spending his retirement years at Secunderabad and suffered a fatal heart attack after participating in a local running event.

He is survived by lady wife Anupama who is currently staying at Secunderabad and is working in Delhi Public school. Their son Ashish is married to Anusha and currently they are in USA. They are coming back to India in May to start working at Bengaluru.
