12014/H/Anil Sahore
Major
Hailing from HAL Koraput with an ever-smiling face, and fair skin that turned red from the ear outwards at any excitement or exertion. During punishments or heavy physical activity, he would get bailed out early because of his flushing red ears and face. PT was a nightmare but it's his chin that bailed him out on the beam!
Ironically, post-commissioning into the Signals, while doing the basic engineering leg at CME Pune, he had become keenly interested in horse racing. A maverick who chose his own path and believed in enjoying each day as if that was the last. It was his dream to visit Europe before getting married, and achieved it. We lost him in a road accident. Last rank he wore was that of a Major. Anil was in the Corps of Signals and had done the Foreign Language course in French. He was promoted to Lt Col and was posted to Army HQ Delhi. He was to join his duty on posting at Delhi on promotion.
Anil Sahore went to see his parents before joining his next assignment. He had already shifted with luggage to Delhi from Naseerabad, Rajasthan. Unfortunately, we lost him before he could join at the Army HQ. He died in a Road accident.
His family belongs to UNA in HP. He is survived by lady wife Anita (since remarried) who had joined Dakshai School as a teacher. Their daughter Mishty is now married. We remember him as an ever smiling, simple and a happy soul.
🙏May his soul rest in peace🙏
