Lieutenant

A dependable friend, who always had his helping hand extended for anyone and readily offered  his shoulder to lean on. Son of a Naval officer, he was the gentleman of the course.

Son of a Naval officer, he was a gentleman of course. A dependable friend, who always had his helping hand extended to anyone and readily offered his shoulder to lean on. An officer of impeccable manners and integrity, he was liked by one and all. A soft spoken and kind man, he would not hurt a fly. After his Cadet time, spent quite some time with his friends in Kochi and often tinkled their glasses in the mess and club. The generous and large hearted man, he would always snatch the bar chits to sign for the rounds of drinks. A jolly guy full of life and fun and a very subtle sense of humor and quick wit, he was a excellent company. Soft spoken, he was always calm & composed, even in the face of a grave adversity. A true officer and a gentleman.

A hardcore sailor and a through professional, he would always stick to the books. After completion of Observer Course, he was posted to the air squadron of the 'Harpoons', flying the versatile ASW Seaking. He was just a little over 26 and a bachelor, when his call came from the Heavens. On a dark night in 1985, he was flying in a Seaking over the sea off Kochi on an ASW exercise, when the helicopter plunged into the dark depths below and Lord Varuna claimed him.

🙏 May his soul rest in peace🙏
